Job Posting Title Supervisor, Pharmacy Technicians - Onsite (Orlando, FL) Job Description Performs typical activities of a Pharmacy Technician, including prescription data entry, and communication and coordination with all parties necessary to insure timely shipping and delivery of prescription orders. In addition to these responsibilities, supervises a group of Pharmacy Technicians, and coordinates and monitors their performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
  • 2+ years Pharmacy experience
  • CPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT, Pharmacy Technician, State Requirements - Pharmacy
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
  • Must have pharmacy intern license as required by applicable state laws OR: Must have an active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements. If state does not require an exam for licensure/registration, must possess both active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements AND an active national certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT). In states that do not require licensure or registration, must have an active national certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT).
  • Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications, as well as MS Office Product Suite, specifically intermediate working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical and basic accounting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years' experience in Specialty Pharmacy.
  • Professional presence with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and trouble-shoot problematic issues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of the team to efficiently manage the output of assigned tasks.
  • Monitors the performance of team members by means of reports and observation.
  • Coordinates team activities and communications with other teams.
  • Assumes accountability for team conduct and productivity.
  • Conducts weekly, monthly and quarterly feedback sessions with the team as a group and individually.
  • Monitors individual technicians' attendance and reliability patterns.
  • Meets with the Pharmacy Operations Manager regularly and as needed to report status of individual and team performance.
  • Administers performance improvement or corrective action plans when needed.
  • Receives and processes data entry of new and refill prescriptions in the pharmacy computer system.
  • Prepares delivery tickets including prescription and supply items as necessary.
  • Communicates by phone and fax as necessary with patient, physician office, and insurance to make sure pharmacy has most updated prescription and prior authorization information on file.
  • Answers phones and triages calls appropriately.
  • Participates in coordinating and scheduling the processing and shipping of patient orders with the customer.
  • Communicates and coordinates internally with customer service, billing, pharmacy, and shipping departments to move patient orders through the system and meet the promised delivery date.
