About The Position

Under the general direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Supervisor provides leadership to the Laboratory staff and oversight for the operations of the lab. Serves as a facilitator, organizational liaison, technical advisor and mentor for the staff. Problem solves and resolves issues related to staffing and operations. Manages the financial requirements for designated laboratory programs. As part of the Laboratory Leadership Team, participates in departmental improvement and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Clinical Lab Scientist License
• At least 6 years of full time laboratory experience, of which not less than 2 years have been spent working in a designated specialty

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree
• Experience as a supervisor in a hospital laboratory, with at least one year experience with high-complexity testing
• Knowledgeable in business practices and marketing
