For more information, visit www.hormelfoods.com. This position reports to our Corporate Manager of Customer Service and will work closely with all other Customer Service Supervisors. The individual may be expected to answer emails on the weekends should an issue occur with a customer order. This person will be expected to take part in an on-call rotation for night and weekend work.

Requirements

  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Hormel Order Processing (OP)/ Mainframe/Oracle.
  • Proven ability to handle a significant amount of detailed work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and follow through.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Corporate Logistics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises 8+ hourly Customer Service Representatives.
  • Responsible for hiring & training new employees in the area & monitoring work to ensure accuracy.
  • Holds responsibility for the accurate entry of sales orders that are not handled by the VMI staff. Accuracy metrics include: item, price, quantity, ship date, and delivery date, among others.
  • Enters orders when staff is on vacation or off work. Helps cover for other Customer Service Supervisors when they are on vacation.
  • Identifies needs for process change and implementing changes to the Order Entry process and Customer Service responsibilities.
  • Responsible for adherence to daily order cutoff and proper handling within the Supply Chain of customer exceptions to order cutoff.
  • Responsible for staff involvement in resolving issues involving overage, shortage or damage upon delivery.
  • Ensures the team performs exceptional customer service in a timely manner.
