About The Position

The Operations Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager is directly responsible for the daily performance of warehouse operations, providing leadership to all DC internal departments, as well as delivering exceptional customer experience, driving inventory accuracy, and ensuring regulatory and ISO 9001 compliance. Responsibilities include managing DC lead-persons and employees that receive, store, pick, pack, ship, and conduct inventory tasks. This position ensures that all receipts and returns are processed and stocked in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Warehouse Manager with daily process performance, customer service, compliance, and serving as a liaison across the company and third-party providers.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in supply chain/logistics or equivalent work experience.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong skills in planning, problem solving, analysis, and organization.
  • Skillful at motivating people coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to use powered equipment (e.g., order picker, fork truck) upon completion of training.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and an ERP Systems is preferred.
  • Background in LEAN, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement is preferred.
  • Bilingual verbal skills (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the safety, customer experience, quality, cost, continuous improvement, talent management, compliance, and inventory accuracy objectives. Ensure metrics and leading indicators are reviewed at the appropriate cadence. Analyze variances, understand root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Direct a team of people and provide management of the daily activities within the Distribution Center. Responsibilities include training and coaching, leading daily standup meetings for the team, performance reviews, ensuring processes are being followed and performed at a high level, reviewing and managing individual and team performance throughout a shift.
  • Track performance metrics and report them to management.
  • Achieve a safe workplace and culture that is OSHA compliant and by advocating training, safety talks and walks, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory (e.g., FDA) and ISO 9001 quality management system standards.
  • Work directly with business partners across Distribution Operations and in other areas including Transportation, Purchasing, Information Technology, and Customer Service to research and resolve inventory variances between systems, customer shipment errors, and customer inquiries.
