About The Position

Provide direction and guidance to Victim Advocates. Organize workflow of Victim Advocates. Ensure that Advocates understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitor Victim Advocates productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. This position is responsible for assisting victims of crime in obtaining services from social services agencies, criminal justice system, medical and educational personnel. Victim Advocate Supervisor also provides service management, advocacy, support, crisis intervention, safety planning, lethality assessments, and follow-up services to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Victim services to others may include victims of other crimes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An additional three (3) years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Database software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • The Oklahoma Victim Assistance Academy (OVAA) certification is required.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
