About The Position

The primary function is to handle day-to-day operations of the phone collectors including workflow, staffing, training, job performance, team-building, quarterly evaluation, and annual performance reviews. Provide counseling and training where necessary to improve performance. Give feedback and suggestions to the Collections Manager for better practices or disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years' combined financial services experience with a focus on Collections, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, or Repossession.
  • 1+ years' supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Knowledge of collection practices and laws, including bankruptcy, repossession, and foreclosure.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Member Solutions and Collections department.
  • Banking / Credit Union lending knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of Fannie Mae servicing and collection standards.
  • Basic understanding of Loss Mitigation practices.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and direct others.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership within the Member Solutions Department.
  • Is responsible for training, mentoring, coaching, conducting job evaluations, policy and procedure development and recommending advancement and salary adjustments specifically for the Collections Team.
  • Supervise daily operations, including Akcelerant collector productivity, such as quantity and quality of accounts worked.
  • Assists in resolving member complaints and disputes.
  • Promotes a positive attitude, high morale, low turnover, and high level of member service both internally and externally.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
