About The Position

The Supervisor of Early Intervention provides direct supervision, training, and professional support to assigned therapy staff to ensure safe, high-quality, family-centered, and evidence-based services. This role balances staff oversight with operational flow management and serves as the first line of clinical support and decision-making at the service level. The Supervisor supports service delivery in natural environments, promotes caregiver coaching practices, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, families, and community partners to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational priorities. This position is structured to support approximately 80% administrative/supervisory responsibilities and 20% direct service delivery, ensuring clinical modeling, service continuity, and field-based support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Early Intervention services is required
  • Experience must include direct work with children and families in EI settings
  • Prior experience in team leadership, mentoring, or supervision preferred
  • Early Intervention experience is a required qualification and not interchangeable with general clinical experience.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in: Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy
  • Active professional licensure is required for candidates operating under the clinical pathway (OT, PT, SLP) in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Certification required by applicable national governing bodies (ASHA, NBCOT, FSBPT) where applicable
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, or family studies
  • At least one (1) year of full-time or equivalent experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families, or completion of a supervised practicum
  • Eligibility to supervise clinical students, fellows, or interns as defined by discipline-specific licensure boards or regulatory bodies
  • At least one (1) year of full-time or equivalent experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families, with demonstrated applied knowledge
  • Candidates qualifying under the Early Intervention (EI) pathway must meet applicable state requirements for service provision and supervision
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle and active automobile insurance (for Early Intervention or community-based travel as required).
