About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, is responsible for the planning and implementation of patient care in the Surgical Services Departments—OR, PACU, Ambulatory and Endoscopy for Bettendorf, Rock Island and Moline. Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to the patients and their families. Plans, organizes and directs activities within respective department for 24/7 activities. Uses independent judgement in crisis situations and takes appropriate actions. Across our three Quad Cities campuses, Surgical Services features 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms. Our facilities are equipped to support a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataract surgery. Requirements

  • Education: Diploma from an RN program.
  • Experience: Three years acute care experience.
  • License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must possess and maintain ACLS
