A Construction Project Manager oversees all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to McDonalds quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in construction management or supervisory roles are usually necessary to handle QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) projects.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and deadlines are achievable.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Estimate costs, manage budgets, control expenses, and forecast financial requirements to keep projects within budget.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Contract Administration: Negotiate and oversee contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring compliance with agreements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, executives, and onsite teams, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that arise during construction.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and progress reports.
