Requirements

  • 10 years of experience managing calibration and metrology programs in a GMP pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of instrumentation across manufacturing, packaging, utilities, environmental systems, and analytical labs (load cells, DP sensors, balances, HPLC, FTIR, etc.).
  • Leadership experience with technicians or technical teams, including prioritization, delegation, and coaching.
  • Proficiency with CMMS/CCMS systems, asset hierarchy management, calibration scheduling logic, and equipment lifecycle processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead investigations, conduct root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA), and implement compliant CAPAs.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills to collaborate with Quality, QC, Validation, Engineering, Operations, and EHS.
  • Ability to write and maintain clear, compliant SOPs, job plans, and calibration documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Related discipline required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site’s calibration and metrology program, ensuring all GMP‑critical instruments across manufacturing, QC labs, packaging, utilities, and BMS/EMS are compliant and fully documented.
  • Supervise and develop calibration technicians, setting priorities, assigning workload, and driving performance.
  • Oversee calibration scheduling, execution, and documentation within the CCMS/CMMS while maintaining KPI dashboards and minimizing overdue events.
  • Manage external vendors for calibration, maintenance, and analytical equipment services, ensuring proper documentation and GMP alignment.
  • Provide technical oversight of calibration procedures, job plans, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for process and analytical instrumentation.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analyses related to calibration deviations, OOT events, and CMMS issues, driving effective CAPAs.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections as the site Subject Matter Expert for calibration and metrology systems.
