Primary Job Duties As a SkyWest Supervisor, you will be given the opportunity to lead by example, set a positive work atmosphere for your department, and promote our guiding principles. This is a NIGHT -Shift Supervisor position. Responsible for the coordination of all necessary maintenance, repairs and inspections Be familiar with and understand the GMM and Federal Regulations Ascertain that all aircraft and work records are complete Assign jobs as necessary to complete all assignments during work shifts Direct and oversee the shift in an efficient and productive manner Accomplish as much work as possible with the man hours and materials available Supervise, control, train, evaluate and discipline employees under his/her supervision Provide technical assistance as well as interpretations of policies and procedures Responsible for all aircraft maintenance records (entries of all maintenance performed) Verify condition of repairable parts removed from aircraft during maintenance Responsible for maintaining morale, discipline and work efficiency of the maintenance crew Responsible for understanding the MEL and MEL procedures Responsible for coordinating with Maintenance Control, the availability of aircraft for Flight Operations and Maintenance departments Ensure that Maintenance Control receives updated, timely reports on the condition / status of aircraft that are undergoing maintenance

Requirements

  • Highly motivated
  • Self starter
  • Must hold valid A&P License
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Must have an Airworthiness Release Authorization
  • Able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Level III Mechanic preferred
  • Travel outside the station for training, in addition to the completion of new hire onboarding
