About The Position

This position coordinates installation, maintenance, and repair work in our manufacturing facilities. This role supervises a team of hourly technicians and trades people to execute work plans of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance of the site’s building equipment and grounds. This role will respond to breakdowns and lead project work.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Facilities/Maintenance, Engineering, or Business with 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of building and grounds systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, blueprints, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Experience with a formal problem-solving methodology including six sigma.

  • Strong knowledge of TPM, RCM and FMEA
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/ Solid Works, PLC Programming

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems.
  • Coordinate installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
  • Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work.
  • Supervising and training maintenance technicians.
  • Overseeing technicians during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.).
  • Inspecting and maintaining building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.).
  • Contributing to the development of maintenance budgets and ensuring compliance.
  • Monitoring inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Participating in coordination of projects (e.g., renovations).
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • May be responsible for housekeeping staff.
