About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will perform department-specific, assigned quality-related tasks under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency required. Trade or vocational school training preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in plant operations and maintenance in a hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, generators, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and landscape maintenance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Decision Making, Problem Solving, Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships, Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing, Resolving Conflict, Time Management, Critical Thinking, Adaptability and Flexibility, Oral and Written Communication.
• Physical Requirements: Heavy demand; walking, standing, bending, lifting objects in excess of 50lbs, pushing and pulling. Visual acuity, accurate hearing. The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of the job.
• Additional Requirements: Must possess valid driver’s license. May be required to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Maintenance, House Keeping/Environmental Services
• Provide support, training, guidance, coordinate and monitor activities and assignments
• Determine the competence of other Maintenance Department staff.
• Completes Life Safety Regulatory Compliance responsibilities that include maintenance, inspections, and documentation
