About The Position

Iteris is looking for a Supervisor, Logistics & Inventory to oversee the movement, distribution, and making sure that a workplace meets the needs of employees by managing all the required services. Responsible for the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers receive products on time. The ideal candidate will oversee material handling, inventory, and transportation, as well as be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations. What you will be doing: Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s vision, mission and values and communicate them to subordinates Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and correcting employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity Ability to effectively communicate at every level within the organization Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication Organize and communicate the daily work assignments with direct reports Monitor teams performance and provide guidance and training to maintain maximum performance Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and constant scrutiny Mentor and develop direct reports to enable them to reach their full potential Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility Communicate with his/her staff and senior management on ways of implementing the plans and the recommendations that are identified Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Manager Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Manager Sustain and drive lean environment and 6S activities Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Use ERP system to manage receiving, inventory, and transportation Maintain an independent approach to day-to-day activities while working within the limits of the established procedures and processes Develops and implements procedures / policies within area managed May work longer hours when needed Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Manager Prepare reports for upper management and work to improve the efficiency of the company’s logistics & inventory department Hire, train, evaluate employees, and prepare worker’s schedules and ensure workers follow safety rules Determine capacity, production and shipping schedules Tenacity to resolve challenges that impact company goals and objectives. Likely areas of responsibility include: Shipping and Receiving Space management Inventory Control Detail-oriented person with a "can do” attitude

Requirements

  • High School degree or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree but not required; a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Over five (5) years' working in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Certified
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Lean Expert (Green Belt minimum)
  • Self-starter, motivated to make improvements, and ability to achieve results with very little guidance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)
