The Quality Assurance organization provides a variety of services aimed at helping its internal customers, S&C leaders and team members, deliver superior quality to our customers. Quality planning, inspection, audit, quality information, quality improvement consulting, and quality communications are examples of the kind of services that the organization provides. This position will report to the site Manager - Quality Assurance. In this job, you will be primarily responsible for leading a team that supports mechanical inspection, and incoming/component inspection. This job will require constant attention to detail, solid problem-solving and project management skills, excellent communication & organizational skills, and a strong ability to operate within the existing Oracle database and adapt to new software programs being implemented at S&C. The inspection supervision responsibilities will include creating and maintaining inspection plans, working with S&C Fabrication Supervisors and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues, and making sure all non-conformances are documented in the Oracle NMR collection plan. Finally, the leader will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of Oracle software for all fabrication and incoming supplied parts. The mechanical inspection responsibilities will include verifying all required mechanical assembly inspections are completed using approved standards and ensuring that all defects coming off the product lines are recorded appropriately. Also in this role, supporting tool control and calibration-related responsibilities will be of importance, including verification that all instruments are calibrated on time, investigating any non-conforming instruments to verify that product quality has not been compromised, and handling administrative logistics, such as creating purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and scheduling on-time calibration and recertification of measuring tools belonging to the inspection team.
