About The Position

This position has functional and operational responsibility for Imaging Nursing. Provides clinical program development and implementation, staff development and oversight. Promotes teamwork and good communication between management, staff, and physicians.

Requirements

  • Credential: RN: Registered Nurse
  • Credential: BLS: Basic Life Support
  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years' experience in the cardiac care, and/or interventional radiology setting required.
  • Employee must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must possess strong problem solving skills in stressful and non-stressful settings.
  • Demonstrated ability in working in a team setting.
  • Outstanding organization and project planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and nonverbal via written medium).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Nursing, or related clinical field preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressive supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations of the Imaging Nursing Department, with emphasis on independent problem solving.
  • Develops and implements staff schedules to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Hires, fires, disciplines, (through corrective actions), evaluates (through job performance reviews and demonstration of clinical competencies) staff skills.
  • Supervises staff and completes job performance reviews and is responsible for personnel management.
  • Administers Kronos/payroll for staff.
  • Produces and reports process improvement activity throughout the department.
  • Collects and evaluates pertinent clinical, financial, and cultural data to facilitate implementation of incremental procedures.
  • Is aware and understands the department metrics and helps facilitate meeting metric goals consistently.
  • Assists in setting up and monitoring continuity of care for all patients.
  • Provides input and direction to a variety of clinical staff to provide timely and accurate care to this patient group.
  • Serves as a clinical resource and ensures adequate training levels are maintained to cover staff schedule.
  • Participates in recruitment efforts seeking qualified individuals to become part of a successful team.
  • Performs clinical functions as needed.
  • Participates on appropriate teams.
  • Conducts product reviews and ensures adequate inventory in maintained.
  • Facilitates new product requests from physicians, and follows our VAT (value analysis team) process.
  • Makes recommendations and assists manager in budgetary management and planning.

  • Employee must possess proficient computer skills in software such as MS Office Suite.
