About The Position

SUMMARY: Assist the Event & Retail Manager to cost-effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through the following marketing tactics: events/shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, retail partnerships, community groups, HOA's, company-created events and more. Please note: this position has a significant weekend work requirement of a minimum 40 partial or full weekends per year. And requires significant travel throughout the territory: Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Saginaw, Kalamazii, Coldwater, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
• 2 years of experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

• In field coaching, training and in booth work.
• Recruiting and interviewing.
• Classroom training. Teaching staff methodology, rebuttals, process and procedures.
• Manages the department calendar including; negotiating with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space and to obtain the best value for our investment.
• Oversees participation in events, sponsorship, retail partnerships and creation of lead-gen opportunities based on established objectives, including on-site administration, resource supervision, and other implementation details.
• Collaborate with partners within Renewal to drive results.
• Communicate results and strategy with management.
• Provides leadership, coaching, training, and oversight to marketing representatives to ensure effective performance of 15+ marketing representatives.
