About The Position

Under general supervision, the Supervisor, Guest House will manage the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the guest house, achieving the optimum standards of hospitality service to our guests in a manner consistent with the Bon Secours Mercy Health's (BSMH) mission, philosophies, and policies. The Supervisor, Guest House will maintain primary interface with guests, volunteers, and other house staff. Essential Job Functions Processes reservations and referrals for all incoming guests; makes and adjusts room assignments to ensure effective operation of the guest house and optimal services for families. Assists with check in and check procedures to include explanation and clarification of policies and procedures and orientation tours. Develops and coordinates implementation of new or modified programs and services that support guest house families. Responsible for hiring, training and management of four guest house assistants. Serves as internal and external liaison and provides problem resolution for guest services issues. Assure timely communication with guests regarding changes in schedules and/or activities. Maintains on-call status. Assists in coordination of Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House public relations (PR), fund raisers and marketing efforts. Develops training and procedural manuals, and newsletters, as appropriate. Partner with the Foundation to support philanthropic operations, including accurate tracking and reporting of donation revenue, adherence to established cash handling processes, support of donor stewardship efforts, and identification of grateful patients and families. Requirements

  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
  • Bachelors, Hospitality Management, Human Services, or related field (required)
  • 3 years' experience in progressively responsible management, preferably in one key area of hotel management (required)
