About The Position

The Fulfillment Supervisor provides frontline leadership and shift-level operational oversight for fulfillment activities at the Obetz facility. This role is accountable for the execution of picking, packing, and shipping operations to ensure service levels, productivity standards, and quality expectations are consistently achieved. As an exempt leader, the Fulfillment Supervisor exercises independent judgment in workforce deployment, workflow coordination, and performance management. This position plays a critical role in protecting customer experience, stabilizing throughput, and maintaining safety and compliance standards in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of operational leadership experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations
  • 2+ years of direct supervisory experience in a high-volume environment
  • Experience managing seasonal workforce fluctuations
  • Working knowledge of WMS and shipping systems
  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and managing KPIs
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and lead teams with minimal oversight
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons
  • Execution-focused and operationally disciplined
  • Strong communicator with frontline leadership presence

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily picking, packing, and shipping operations
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time
  • Allocate labor strategically to meet daily and seasonal volume demands
  • Monitor workflow and proactively resolve operational bottlenecks
  • Escalate systemic issues to the Fulfillment Manager with recommended solutions
  • Drive daily performance metrics and productivity targets
  • Monitor shift dashboards and communicate results during start-up and end-of-shift huddles
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action in real time
  • Support labor cost control through effective workforce management
  • Supervise, coach, and develop frontline associates
  • Conduct performance evaluations and administer corrective action as necessary
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires and seasonal staff
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement
  • Partner with HR on attendance management and employee relations matters
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control to ensure product availability and replenishment
  • Coordinate with Transportation and Shipping teams to ensure smooth outbound flow
  • Communicate volume fluctuations and operational risks proactively
  • Support peak readiness planning and staffing ramp execution
  • Enforce adherence to all company safety policies and operational procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready fulfillment environment
  • Promote compliance with GMP and food safety standards (as applicable)
  • Address safety concerns immediately and escalate when necessary
