About The Position

The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and coaching employees within the Fulfillment department while ensuring efficient workflow, high quality standards, and a safe work environment. This is a working supervisory role, meaning this individual will lead the team while also performing fulfillment tasks and supporting production needs. This role focuses on training employees on fulfillment processes, improving workflow efficiencies, and ensuring all orders are completed accurately and on time. The Fulfillment Supervisor partners closely with managers, project managers, customer service representatives, and other departments to ensure each job meets customer specifications and quality expectations before shipment.

Requirements

  • a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required
  • previous experience working in a Fulfillment or Distribution Center environment
  • a minimum of one year of experience leading people or processes
  • able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Responsibilities

  • partner with managers and shift leadership to prioritize work and direct department workflow
  • train and coach team members on efficient fulfillment set-up and process flow
  • monitor and maintain quality standards, ensuring the final quality check is completed before shipment
  • support a safe work environment with a goal of zero OSHA recordables
  • monitor departmental processes to ensure assembly integrity and process consistency
  • maintain appropriate supply levels to support production requirements
  • monitor work orders, receipts, and issues to ensure production accuracy
  • communicate effectively with the production floor and represent company policies when needed
  • maintain training documentation and skills matrices while helping team members develop new skills
  • assist the Fulfillment Manager with headcount planning based on workload and production volume
  • identify opportunities for continuous improvement in efficiency, productivity, and material flow
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inbound and outbound material movement
  • troubleshoot production challenges to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • receive, process, and store inbound inventory
  • dispatch fulfillment picking orders and coordinate shipment preparation
  • ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe
  • operate forklifts and other powered lift equipment as needed
  • perform additional projects and duties as requested by management
