About The Position

Responsible for providing friendly, responsive service, creating unforgettable moments, providing an exceptional experience. The Supervisors primary objective is to maintain our policies, procedures, and steps of service. Working as a team, assist service staff going above and beyond expectation of our guests.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, spirits, and liquors and their proper service
  • Proficiency in POS programs
  • A general knowledge and understanding of San Diego current events, cultural and culinary happenings
  • Experience as a server in an upper-casual and/or fine-dining restaurant or lounge setting
  • Has a basic understanding of Department of Labor standards.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacting with management, staff, and guests)
  • Solution oriented
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to implement and uphold service standards
  • Conflict resolution sensibility, both with staff and guest
  • Must be able to speak, hear, understand, read, and write the English language
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and climb
  • Must be able to push and pull
  • Serve safe certificate Management course
  • Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination Management 3-hour class
  • RBS – Responsible Alcohol Service

Responsibilities

  • Operate restaurant to specifications, upholding high standards and impeccable service
  • Ensure service style and standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Checking in with staff to ensure that all staff are on time and in uniform, according to our standards
  • Identify guest needs and respond proactively to all their concerns
  • Monitors guests and internal feedback and takes corrective action as required, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Help maintain sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Ensure facility lighting, sound, and TVs are set per standard
  • Actively touching tables and leading by example
  • Building relationships with guests, vendors, sister venues and other hospitality venues
  • Ensure all staff closing side-work and cleaning duties are completed by standard
  • Ensure facility closing checklist is complete
  • Check in with kitchen and BOH operations throughout scheduled shifts
