This position doesn't directly supervise employees. The Supervisor is accountable for planning, scheduling and coordinating all maintenance related activities for a list of terminal shops Responsible for safely handling equipment maintenance at the shop level for a listing of terminals Prepare safety documentation required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or local authority Meet with shop managers of assigned terminals and vendors involved to reduce maintenance costs Review inventory with managers and make certain that parts are stored correctly and set the “highs-lows” on parts Assist terminals with equipment issues and use decision-making skills to find the best and most economical way of handling repairs Research, evaluate, and negotiate costs with outside vendors for vehicle maintenance and repair, including the sourcing of needed parts Work with outside vendors, control costs and expenses, and work within assigned budgets Responsible for overseeing assigned terminals’ repairs with an eye toward reining in costs Keep track of repeated equipment failures or breakdowns Monitor warrantable repairs and parts Maintain Preventative Maintenance schedules of assigned equipment and assigned campaigns Process equipment evaluations and post-accident pictures to ENET and send accordingly Maintain an effective working relationship with management, mechanics, vendors and Corporate Fleet Services department Inspect all types of equipment Relay the correct information to terminals to look over repaired equipment Open and close invoices Order parts for terminals and manage barcoded inventory accurately Run and fill requisitions for terminal parts inventories Regular attendance is required.
