Supervises the financial, credit, debt management counseling, insurance verification and eligibility and education services processes. Utilizes alternative means for obtaining coverage for uninsured and underinsured patients. Enforces and maintains updated procedures that are in compliance with all regulatory changes. Trains staff and assures that accuracy and productivity are maintained. Interacts with outside vendors and handles issues of a sensitive and confidential nature with patients and families. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
  • 3 years experience as a financial counselor or related role in a healthcare environment Required
  • General Experience and knowledge of hospital billing / registration systems Required
  • General Experience and knowledge of third party reimbursement and eligibility processes and regulations Required

Responsibilities
