The McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group’s Accounting and Reporting group currently has an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain an understanding of McDonald’s Corporation and our global business. This position calls for an individual who is results-driven with strong organizational skills that can manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in the accounting or finance industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and must have the initiative and ability to find efficiencies and execute solutions to improve processes
  • Ability to successfully navigate cross-functional teams and projects
  • Ability to effectively supervise, coach and develop others
  • Have the ability to balance the interests & demands of multiple stakeholders at once
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Results-driven individual
  • Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete daily tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in “owning” receivables aging & related processes preferred
  • Experience in reconciling intercompany accounts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact with the IDL Finance teams and subject matter expert on all topics related to the International Developmental Licensee segment (e.g. accounting treatment under US GAAP, reporting, ad-hoc projects that arise, etc.)
  • Lead and manage a team for finance modernization projects
  • Oversee the intercompany process and support monthly general ledger close processes
  • Prepare and present quarterly Accounts Receivable Aging analysis to Leadership
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly Internal Controls for area of responsibility are operating effectively
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of existing processes and propose enhancements and participate in ad hoc projects
  • Cultivate trusting relationships with our many global markets contacts and segment business unit partners
