About The Position

The Supervisor, Facilities is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of roads and grounds, custodial, and maintenance staff, ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of roads, grounds, and building on campus. This role involves coordinating with various teams, supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Hiring Range is $49,084 to $53,992 The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, custodial, and or groundskeeping practices and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of building systems, landscaping, and or custodial practices.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability under TSTC Liability Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the custodial, maintenance, and grounds staff, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance repair work for roads, grounds, and buildings.
  • Ensure the timely completion of custodial tasks, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across college facilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance operations implementing improvements as needed.
  • Assist in the development and management of the department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the team, providing training, and resources to support safe work practices.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and custodial requests.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
