Old Dominion Freight Line is currently looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our OD Family Culture. Our Supervisor will be responsible for the general maintenance and overall conditions and cleanliness of the service center ensuring the facility remains at a high level of function and appearance. Provides daily supervision of team members who repair and maintain the facility, equipment and machinery.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of experience as a facilities maintenance supervisor or similar role
- Working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and electrical issues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work of janitors while minimizing overtime and call-in hours
- Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
- Negotiates and implements 3rd party vendor agreements for the facility
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Ensures the equipment and facilities are operational, safe and in compliance with all relevant codes
- Recruits and retains maintenance facility employees
- Ensures all maintenance is performed in a safe manner compliant with OSHA guidelines and company policies
- Ensures maintenance record keeping logs are accurate and up to date
