Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC) is a 100-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital located near the beautiful resort area of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a short 10-minute drive to the ocean front. VBPC offers acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. The hospital is accessible 24 hours a day for admissions, and includes mental health assessments and an excellent referral network. Treatment programs and specialty services at VBPC include substance abuse, dual diagnosis and partial hospitalization. Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center currently has a Full-Time Housekeeping Supervisor position available. Candidates must be available to work weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Requirements
- High School graduate, GED or equivalent experience.
- Requires two or more years housekeeping experience; one or more years in a lead/supervisory role preferred.
- Must process knowledge of mopping, buffing, stripping, polishing vinyl and tile floors, shampooing carpets, lifting and moving furniture and ability to use cleaning equipment and compounds.
- Must possess ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the highest level of overall housekeeping and laundry services throughout the hospital.
- Managing the day-to-day planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, training and development of team members.
- Assists in screening new applicants and training new staff as assigned.
