About The Position

As a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic, we provide comprehensive medical and dental services, along with specialized care in Chiropractic, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics, Psychology, Podiatry, and Optometry. With clinics located across Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties, our team works together to deliver accessible, high-quality care to every patient. Job Summary: The Supervisor leads the department to improve the overall dental health of patients.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission of Aria Community Health Center.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems, NextGen a plus.
  • Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational management skills.
  • Passionate, trustworthy, and empathetic when working with staff and patients.
  • Ability to build relationships with different types of people, including patients, organization members, and health care providers.
  • Flexible and adaptable in response to changing patient and dental providers’ needs.
  • Knowledge of dental billing.
  • Strong understanding of cultural competency with the target population
  • Willing to travel locally.
  • A minimum of two years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in dental administration a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee activities of the dental department.
  • Carrying out and attaining the mission and the goals of ACHC within the department.
  • Development of a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, employee retention and development, and high performance.
  • Personal ongoing self-development and personal growth as an employee.
  • Development procedures and systems to build the program and improve the quality, productivity and overall effectiveness of the department.
  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources.
  • Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, training, vacations, and cover for absenteeism.
  • Maintain transparent communication.
  • Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Communicates ideas and information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the clinic and keep up with current industry practices.
