About The Position

Under the direction of leadership, the Customer Service Supervisor will oversee and assist customer service employees in the performance of their job duties such as responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues or complaints. “This position is eligible to work onsite or hybrid in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Compensation $73, 920- $92,400 Exempt Grade 15 • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. Requirements

  • The ability to effectively lead a team by building strong relationships.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years Customer Experience required.
  • Experience with coaching and leading employees is required
  • Leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Hold self and others accountable while managing and reporting on team performance.
  • Identify areas of improvement; set appropriate performance objectives for employees and hold them accountable for achieving these
  • Proactively identify any opportunities to improve the customer service experience.
  • Ensure appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of the team.
  • Reduce errors through root-cause analysis, driving change through coaching, Quality and Training programs, and/or appropriate channels.
  • Communicate effectively to build relationships, foster loyalty in employees, and coach staff for professional and personal development.
  • Exercise sound business judgment in a team environment and independently, while having the motivation and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively resolve problems and build relationships.
  • Perform assigned job-related duties as required, including any special projects.
