The Supervisor of Customer Meter Services is responsible for the daily supervision and organization of assigned operations personnel in order to effectively and efficiently accomplish job tasks in line with departmental and National Grid requirements. Responsible for supervising personnel in either the Field Operations or CMS team to ensure the safe and reliable maintenance and operation of the gas system, productively and cost-effectively. The successful candidate must be prepared to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. The successful candidate is expected to be on-call schedules and ready to respond to emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university required
  • 0-2 years of engineering or project management experience
  • Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis to support the Leak Prone Pipe (LPP) replacement program, including risk evaluation, asset condition assessment, and development of project recommendations.
  • Analyze leaks, asset, and material data to identify trends, support prioritization, and improve system integrity performance.
  • Support development of annual and multi‑year workplans by preparing project inputs, reviewing field data, and validating scope assumptions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and exhibits for internal stakeholders and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations, Distribution Engineering, Resource Planning/Coordination, and Corrosion to gather information, resolve data gaps, and refine project scopes.
  • Utilize internal enterprise systems (MEPS, Maximo, GIS platforms) to maintain project records, track progress, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Participate in process reviews and contribute to improvements of engineering procedures, tools, and workflows.
  • Perform engineering studies and investigations under guidance, recommending corrective actions or mitigation strategies where appropriate.
