About The Position

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life. Position Summary To facilitate, coordinate and evaluate the operation and efficiency of crisis response services by providing supervision to assigned staff, maintaining good communication and ensuring quality of services and documentation while supporting Aspire’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. Along with providing a range of responsive crisis assessments, immediate interventions, and case management services to individuals and families in the communities served by Aspire Indiana Health. The Crisis Response team will promote collaborative working relationships with both internal and community partners. Must be flexible in providing crisis services via video conference, telephonically, and in-person in the community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other mental health related field from a college/university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, plus 3 years of work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or an Associate’s and 7 years of experience, or at least 10 years of related experience required
  • At least one (1) year supervisory experience and/or leading a team required
  • Deep personal commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Aspire Indiana Health
  • Understand definitions and procedures associated with Emergency Detentions, Apprehend and Return Orders, Immediate Detention Orders, Civil Commitments, and State Operated Facilities
  • Ability to be flexible and work outside normal business hours, as needed
  • Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalism
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, video, or in person
  • Drug screen, TB test and extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References) are required of all Aspire employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model highly recommended
  • May self-identify as a current or former recipient of services, and/or a family member of an individual who was a recipient of services, and be maintaining a healthy recovery from mental illness and/or substance use to qualify for the peer track
