About The Position

Summary Transmission and Distribution Operations has an opportunity for a Construction/Maintenance Supervisor in the P&C Maintenance department. The Supervisor will provide leadership, coordination and direction of field crew personnel for Protective Relay & Control maintenance organization of Protection Relay Technicians, Journeyman and Planner. Oversee system wide relay functional & relay maintenance testing for the Metro, Southwest, and Southeast, Northern, & Four Corners divisions. Coordinate crews throughout the system to complete substation protection and control functions as well as assist all fossil generation plants with testing and protection assistance. Supervisor will oversee the coordination activities of P&C Techs and journeyman in the maintenance and operation of T&D substation electrical facilities in order to provide for system reliability requirements. This includes oversight of project schedules, outage schedules, and material coordination and engineering collaboration to meet project timelines, including outage restoration, and equipment commissioning services for substation Protective relay schemes. Position will require periodic after-hours responsibility for developing an organization that is focused on providing quality, timely, courteous, and cost-effective construction, cost-effective, safe, and reliable system additions, improvements, and upgrades. Supervisor serves as a communication, coordinating, scheduling and technical liaison among other stakeholders within the company, leaders and departments, as appropriate.

Requirements

Bachelors' degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field plus three (3) years' experience in the design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities, power plants or related energy or construction industries.
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of seven (7) years education and working experience in design, engineering, construction, operations, and/or maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities, power plants or related energy or construction industries.
Must live within the assigned geographic area with the ability to commute to work sites of service area and ability/availability to oversee emergent work during nights and weekends.
