About The Position

Leads and manages the day-to-day operations of the commercial servicing team from boarding commercial loans to the core, funding loan, through servicing of the loan. In coordination with management, schedules, prioritizes and distributes workflow and makes recommendations to improve performances and efficiencies. As a working supervisor, performs servicing functions, reviews, monitors, ensures service levels are maintained in support of loan production and portfolio management. Responsible for the department’s electronic loan files housed in the loan origination system or the credit union’s document repository. Ensures collateral documentation such as property taxes, insurance and UCC filings are current and in compliance with SSFCU loan policy and procedures. Directs and guides the team to ensure the collateral and financial ticklers are being requested and updated in a timely manner and according to the Loan Agreement and the Credit Approval Memo. Provides subject matter expertise, guidance, training and direction to staff relating to polices and procedures, assists staff in resolving escalated matters within delegate scope of authority. Responsible for reviewing the team’s work to ensure that it has been completed correctly and per established service levels. Works closely with the management team to ensure processes are being followed. Ensures adequate staffing levels for optimal efficiency and to maintain service levels in support of the department. Assists with audits as needed. Supports management with preparing monthly Board Reports and others as needed. Approves the teams’ timesheets in a timely manner and prepares employees’ Annual Performance Reviews. Ensures policies, procedures, practices, regulations, and documentation requirements are being followed. Assists with Special Projects as needed. Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or comparable work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years Commercial Loan administration or operations experience, equivalent mortgage loan processing or servicing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial loan documentation and servicing operations.
  • A proactive approach for improving the efficiency of the department.
  • Strong customer service and communication (verbal, written, listening) skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Organizes duties and performs multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Requires ability to make decisions in the best interest of the Credit Union.
