About The Position

The Supervisor of Coding oversees the revenue cycle coding workflow and supports a high level of coding accuracy and efficiency. OBGYN experience required He/she manages vendor inventories, coding Discharge Not Billed (DNB) to department targets, and accuracy audits. Builds relationships across functional areas to address documentation issues, redesign processes, improve efficiency, and ensure optimal results. Supports the Coding Manager with staffing and performance management and training of Coders. Provides timely feedback to all questions from Revenue Cycle, Coders and all Departments regarding all with accounts. Monitors changes in laws, regulations, and coding & documentation standards. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding coding and specifically ED and Observation charge capture. Abides by the standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by American Health Information Management Association and adheres to official coding guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
