About The Position
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor. The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the department, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant laboratory testing that directly supports patient diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience required
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1461)
- Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required

- ASCP certification, or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the Laboratory staff, including medical technologists, laboratory technicians, and support personnel, responsible for scheduling, competency assessments, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee complex testing procedures, ensuring accurate analysis of patient specimens including blood, body fluids, cultures, and molecular testing in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Implement and monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs to ensure reliability, precision, and accuracy of test results across all chemistry and microbiology platforms
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards including CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and other governing agencies
- Supervise instrument maintenance, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting for chemistry analyzers and microbiology equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Address operational challenges including workflow efficiency, staffing coverage, regulatory updates, and continuous process improvement initiatives
