Provide clinical supervision and support to staff. Serve adults and children involved in criminal and civil cases assigned to the Cook County Public Defender. Conduct evaluations when indicated to support sentencing litigation and prepare comprehensive reports. Review and assign referrals to assigned staff. Communicate with client families, caseworkers, physicians, and other professionals and parties relevant to clients. Conduct in-house trainings to support Bureau/Department professional development initiatives. Serve as a consultant applying forensic mental health principles/knowledge to assist attorneys and prepare comprehensive reports and forensic evaluations. Monitor and track staff productivity and create monthly reports partnering with senior leadership on progress. Provide guidance for others in the application of psychology and delegate work, as needed. Consult and assist attorneys in cases requiring psychological expertise.
