About The Position
The Supervisor BMT/Cord Blood Bank primary responsibility is to manage daily operations, ensuring that department policies and procedures are adhered to. Also performs laboratory testing as well as specimen collection.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CA-MTA), or Limited Licensed Specialist.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.
- Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist-CA (CLS) or Limited License, Specialist in a laboratory area.
Nice To Haves
- Five (5) years or more of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Limited Licensed.
- Three (3) or more years of leadership, Bone Marrow Transplant, and cord blood collection experience.
