About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Food Service Supervisor to perform a variety of duties to support the effective functioning of the department. These responsibilities include: managing all assigned retail areas, assisting in the monitoring and development of staff, creating and maintaining staff work schedules and timecard reports, monitoring and evaluating performance of staff, and all other HR functions such as discipline, FMLA management, etc. They are responsible for assisting with any of the job functions in the department if needed. The Food Service Supervisor ensures that cleaning assignments and projects are completed properly and adhere to the department's policies and procedures. The Food Service Supervisor also ensures accuracy of recipes and recipe execution, conveys accurate nutritional information of all retail food items, and collaborates with other Food Service Supervisors to ensure quality and consistency of finished product across the ProHealth Care System.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in culinary arts or food services required
  • Specialized culinary expertise
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Ability to deal and interact with leadership, employees, and guests in a professional manner that represents the ProHealth Experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, effective listening, strong judgment skills, and basic math skills.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, equipment and supplies, implementation and reinforcement of policies and procedures with regards to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to effectively multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with all business contacts and staff.
  • Working knowledge of computer software to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and/or equivalent.
