Requirements

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Five years of clinical experience
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Tech program preferred

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities of the echocardiography staff.
• Serves as the technical director of the department ensuring that all compliance, accreditation, and quality requirements are met.
• The Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor serves pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
