About The Position

Coordinates clinical education and/or skills lab for cardiac ultrasound program students to ensure a smooth and efficient learning experience which also includes development of clinical rotation schedules, required competencies, regulatory requirements, and other related program requirements. Support the program director with providing an effective clinical education program via policies, procedures, and student progression.

Requirements

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)
  • Minimum of 3 years-Related work experience (Required)
  • Adult Echocardiography (AE) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Responsibilities

  • Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education.
  • Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
  • Assist in curriculum design, development, revision and implementation.
  • Prepares medical imaging content by utilizing a variety of teaching strategies to deliver the course content.
  • Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of the course content.
  • Instruct echo courses/didactics and/or skills lab training with technical aspects and theory.
  • Maintain student clinical assignments and attendance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
  • Collaborate with the program director on analyzing outcomes.
  • Preparation for program accreditation and assisting during site visit.
  • Serve as member of the student selection committee.
  • Maintains clinical expertise through direct experience, continuing education and a competency assessment.
  • Evaluate and ensure effectiveness of clinical experience during student clinical rotations.
  • Effectively prepare medical imaging students for licensure examinations.
  • Continue professional development in scholarship, teaching, and continuing education.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
