Responsible for the management and development of staff. Provides oversight to, and is accountable for quality and service, regulatory compliance, work unit safety, strategic planning, document management, financial management and developing and implementing new services. Works cooperatively with a wide variety of customers, as well as internal and external resources. Completes special projects as assigned by the laboratory consultant/director(s), administrator and/or operations manager(s). The Biorepository is a CAP-accredited, enterprise-wide network of laboratories that consists of the Biospecimen Accessioning and Processing (BAP) Core and Pathology Research Core (PRC) labs. These Core Laboratories are committed to rigorous quality standards, ensuring consistent and scalable laboratory processing. Team members are expected to collaborate with laboratory staff and Technical Specialists to execute study-driven and project-based laboratory work. Responsibilities include developing and applying effective strategies to prioritize and satisfy customer requirements. Coordination with downstream laboratories and vendors is essential to meet timelines while managing budgetary and supply chain considerations. This position requires close collaboration with other supervisors and work groups, executing standardized workflows to maintain organizational structure and uniformity which is an essential component of the success of the Biorepository overall.
