Under the direction of BIS leadership, Behavior Intervention Specialist Supervisors are responsible for oversight and direction of day-to-day activities of BIS staff in an assigned region, providing leadership and clinical support relating to the assessment of habilitative, behavioral and psychiatric needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and the development and implementation of effective interventions to help support those needs. Regularly interacts with and oversees BIS interactions with people we support including assessing their ADL skills, providing personal care, promoting habilitation and/or rehabilitation and providing for their health, safety and well-being. Performs clinical duties for an assigned caseload and ensures that clinical needs of the people receiving supports across assigned region are addressed, direct care and BIS staff are appropriately trained, person-centered interventions and program plans are understood and consistently implemented as documented, data is effectively collected to support evaluations and required documentation is completed/maintained. Completes regular check-ins with BIS team, monitoring and assessing performance, attendance and operational needs and ensuring timely processing of employee changes, timekeeping and evaluations. Regularly engages with regional leadership to address individual needs, plans and/or concerns, training needs and to support behavior-focused initiatives.
