About The Position

The Mechanical Integrity (MI) Engineering Supervisor will lead and support ONEOK’s MI program, ensuring asset integrity and reliability through team development, compliance, and data-driven improvements. This role fosters collaboration, promotes ONEOK’s core values, and drives continuous improvement using technology and industry best practices. Perform and supervise employees engaged in engineering and project management related to plant processing, fractionation and liquids handling, storage field, gathering and transmission pipeline and compression including engineering, construction, regulatory compliance and budgets and schedules

Requirements

  • Experience achieving goals and developing employee/team strengths, exhibiting a positive example and influence that leads to employee, project and stakeholder successes
  • Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.
  • Experience researching, composing and preparing contracts, engineering studies, policies, procedures, reports and technical correspondence
  • Experience identifying, researching, evaluating and prioritizing problems and situations and providing appropriate actions, alternatives and/or recommendations
  • SME level experience with material failure and structural analysis and extensive knowledge of industry standards and governmental regulations
  • Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, codes, and standards, manuals, policies, procedures, contracts, specifications and various reports and correspondence
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of environmental laws, regulations procedures and programs
  • Experience with all phases of project management including scoping, estimating, specification, scheduling, contracting and procurement, construction, commissioning and startup, budgeting, financial analyses and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with and training related to: Design codes and standards, Project management practices, Communications skills/customer relations, Industry standards and governmental codes, rules, and regulations, Development of technical and safety training programs, Regulatory inspection and material testing programs
  • Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals
  • Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas and statistical methods
  • Ability to: lead, direct, supervise and train other employees. Working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information; conduct oral presentations

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering or Computer Science/MIS/IT degree
  • Experience with PCMS or similar MI platforms
  • Knowledge of database management and analytics
  • API inspector certifications (preferred)
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and IT integration

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop team members, provide feedback, and organize technical and leadership training.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Implement communication tools, manage documentation, and lead regular team meetings.
  • Program Oversight: Ensure compliance with applicable standards, maintain audit readiness, and address gaps through improvement projects.
  • Data Management: Validate MI system data, train staff on data protocols, and analyze KPIs for performance trends.
  • Budget & Forecasting: Maintain budgets within ±10%, leverage analytics for forecasting, and review with Operations.
  • Program Advancement: Benchmark industry practices, pilot new technologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project Execution: Manage projects, develop timelines, and capture lessons learned post-implementation.
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs, use dashboards for reporting, and refine metrics as needed.
