We have an exciting opportunity for an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Supervisor to join our team of talented professionals. We have a market-based compensation structure. The estimated salary for this position will vary based on a candidate's transferable work experience and qualifications. As an ACT Supervisor in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program, you will be responsible for the following: The ACT Supervisor will be responsible for the administrative and clinical functioning of the ACT program. This will include all of the functions necessary to ensure the identification and engagement of eligible ACT participants, and the delivery of ACT services to those participants and their families. In addition to overseeing the program, the ACT Supervisor will participate in the delivery of direct services to ACT participants and facilitate adherence to ACT fidelity standards. Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Based on the needs of the clients and the program, additional hours are expected, including evening and weekends. Will provide after-hours coverage for crisis calls to support program staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a master’s degree in social work and full licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Must have at least two years of experience working with or treating adults with serious mental illness. Experience working in a community mental health setting is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and experience working as a member of an ACT team is preferred.
  • Candidate will meet the criteria for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) consistent with current certification standards for adult programs within 120 days of hire.
  • Must also have a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (CAADC) credential or have the ability to be on an approved for a professional development plan for a CAADC through MCBAP within 30 days of hire. Must apply for a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) development plan through MCBAP once the CAADC has been issued and obtain the CCS within the timeframe allowed by MCBAP.
  • Must demonstrate competence in mental health and co-occurring substance use treatment. Candidates must be willing to maintain the fidelity of the ACT model, and to lead a team of ACT advocates, nurses and peer support specialists.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with clients, community members and agency staff, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in order to track and prepare data.
  • Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our clients, their families, and staff members from all of the programs represented at The Guidance Center.
  • Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
