As a Supervisor in Accounting Management at Management & Training Corporation (MTC), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting and audit functions within the general accounting department. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with government and management directives while summarizing data for periodic operating statements and management information. This position is vital for maintaining the financial integrity of the Carville Job Corps Center, where we provide essential services to local youth. In this role, you will develop department budgets, monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to the department budget as necessary. You will also be responsible for reviewing and auditing cost data and related analyses pertaining to center operations, preparing related reports, and auditing the output of the accounts payable and cashier functions. Additionally, you will prepare government billings, maintain payment records, and manage student payroll, including preparation, disbursement, and reconciliation. Conducting periodic audits of the student benefits fund will also be part of your responsibilities.
