The Supervisor 1 IHT supervises the daily activities of an IHT functional team. This role is differentiated by the Supervisor 2 IHT based on business needs of the organization relative to complexity, budget, and number of direct reports and visibility of projects. Responsible for supervising, training, and checking the work of other staff; selects, develops, coaches, mentors, and assesses performance of staff. Coordinates schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels to remain compliant with department business needs. Responsible for performance appraisal for positions under their direction; provides leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff. Sets priorities for the team to ensue task completion. Ensures all functions are performed in accordance with established organization specifications; accountable for efficiency, productivity, and quality of work for the team. Coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Identifies problems and potential solutions to ensure department efficiency; problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Makes recommendations and assists with developing policies and procedures for the department. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
