About The Position

Ruby -- iHeartMedia’s Branded Content Studio -- is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Supervising Producer with a background in branded content, marketing, and audio production to oversee the creative direction, scheduling, logistics and recording of audio content that prominently feature brand integrations, as well as some of the assets for marketing these shows. You will produce and market original branded content developed by the Ruby team, as well as branded episodes and segments for established iHeartPodcast titles. In doing so, you will work closely with our sales, reporting, and marketing teams, acting as a primary point of contact for our key clients by communicating effectively between agencies, brand clients, production teams, and talent.

Requirements

  • Success in this position will rely heavily on the ability to understand brand challenges and solve those challenges through the audio medium.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record in audio production and/or brand storytelling through various mediums is a must.
  • At least 3-4 years of project management or production experience, with proven ability to deliver multi-faceted projects on time and on budget
  • Experience producing and/or engineering high quality audio at a professional level
  • Strong client and talent-facing background – solid presentation skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and an ability to communicate professionally with big personalities in the entertainment realm
  • Self-starter, ability to work across multiple teams simultaneously
  • A passion for podcasting

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and wear many hats when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and prepare interview questions, outlines, scripts, and other creative deliverables as required by the production
  • Create and manage production timeline
  • Create & distribute production one-sheet
  • Submit and track title clearance requests
  • Talent curation & guest booking
  • Create digital project ecosystem (Dropbox, GDrive, Descript, Riverside, Omny, etc)
  • Facilitate tech questionnaires and coordinate tech checks
  • Ship/Track mic kits
  • Liaise with internal production stakeholders on recording logistics and timelines
  • Schedule, facilitate, and/or engineer recording sessions
  • Set up Riverside recording links for remote sessions
  • Book and coordinate studios/engineers for in-person sessions
  • Attend weekly production calls with client
  • Maintain production timeline
  • Submit production invoices for processing
  • Create show expense trackers & Log production/post-production expenses
  • Write episode descriptions / metadata for podcast platforms
  • Deliver paper edits and provide editor with notes on episode cuts
  • QA audio cuts - script matches, confirm all notes are addressed
  • Assist editors with soundbites / clips, music, and SFX
  • Deliver edits and various deliverables to clients / stakeholders, answer questions as necessary, and relay feedback to Post-Production team
  • Generate transcripts as needed
  • Mic kit retrieval & logging
  • Deliver final show metadata & QC check
  • Manage show RSS feeds (upload audio + final metadata; create ad markers)
  • Complete budget actualizations
  • Close out production vendor accounts
  • Update show production status in Producer Interface
  • Digital project archival; work with producers, engineers, editors, and all partners to confirm all project deliverables are saved and labeled properly
  • Oversee the podcast artwork development process (e.g. engage designers, create mood boards, coordinate reviews, etc.)
  • Manage production of podcast video clips, audiograms, or other promotional materials
  • Assist with social media management, including content generation – automated and custom – and managing a content calendar
  • Awards submissions and tracking
