About The Position

Qualifications Clear understanding of the role and responsibilities of the superintendent and his/her relationship with the governing board, staff and community Extensive experience with curriculum and instruction particularly K-12 Arizona Standards Skilled in fostering community relations and understands small town/school dynamics Willingness/Ability to take on multiple roles in a small district that are typically handled by Principals, Directors, or Assistant Superintendent Effective leader with proven management skills, in particular experienced coaching his/her administrative team in leadership development as needed Ability to motivate and retain district employees by instituting a positive district culture Strong communication skills Experience working with diverse populations Understanding of special education laws and regulations and ability to monitor compliance with state and federal guidelines Strong knowledge and ability to perform duties related to Arizona school finance Strong financial management skills Experience accomplishing district academic outcomes with proven results Creative and innovative thinker to approach continuation and/or expansion of courses, programs and extracurricular activities Experience integrating technology in classrooms to promote student engagement and creative thinking Comprehensive Benefit Package Included
