About The Position

The Creative Minds Coordinator is responsible for visionary leadership of the district's innovative multi-age, project-based learning program. This position champions a student-centered, hands-on, and inclusive educational environment that integrates family and community partnership, aligns with district goals, and drives continuous innovation.

Requirements

  • Valid Kansas teaching license and building leadership license
  • Master's degree or higher in education
  • Minimum of 10 years teaching experience, with a strong record in project-based, multi-age, or innovative educational environments
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in curriculum/program development and organizational change
  • Proven ability to engage families and community partners in the educational process
  • Excellent skills in collaboration, communication, and facilitation
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and personalized learning for all students
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written in order to communicate with others inside and outside of the organization for the purpose of giving and obtaining information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a Supervisor when their discretion is needed
  • Ability to perform as an effective team player
  • Ability to plan, organize, make decisions and prioritize work to meet the daily demands of the building
  • Exhibit a professional manner and a positive attitude
  • Use good judgment to make decisions on recurring assignments
  • Display a significant degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to conform to proper standards of professional dress and appearance
  • Knowledge of company's mission, purpose, goals and the role of every employee in achieving each of them

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, ongoing improvement, and implementation of a flexible project-based learning (PBL) curriculum integrating student interests, family input, and community resources
  • Facilitate and encourage active participation by families and students in curriculum planning, school governance, and learning demonstrations
  • Oversee daily program operations ensuring alignment with district standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices for innovative learning
  • Promote a culture of creativity, inclusivity, and risk-taking where all learners are empowered to demonstrate mastery in individualized ways
  • Foster professional growth among staff focused on collaborative, experiential, and equitable instructional practices
  • Build strategic partnerships with families and community organizations to enrich learning with real-world experiences
  • Lead public exhibitions of student work, celebrating learning and engaging in the broader community
  • Use data, feedback, and collaborative processes to evaluate program impact and inform future planning
  • Assists with additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
