About The Position

Our client, a major commercial contractor in the communications and low-voltage infrastructure space, is seeking an ISP Superintendent to oversee a large commercial project in Barker, NY. This role is key to helping launch and scale the onsite team, ensuring successful project execution, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. You will serve as the senior onsite representative, responsible for personnel management, project oversight, operational processes, safety leadership, and direct customer communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 5+ years telecommunications, technical, or construction experience.
  • 3+ years as a Lead Communications Technician or similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to define project scope, estimate, plan workflows, and manage delivery to completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Meets company driving standards.
  • Ability to use trade tools, including: Punch tools (110 & 66 block), 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX tools, Butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, 5-gang punch tool.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and manage all project-related staff.
  • Administer promotions, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
  • Mentor team members to meet project and company goals.
  • Define project scope, develop estimates, and manage detailed tasks through completion.
  • Ensure projects meet profitability goals and customer deadlines.
  • Monitor installation progress, workload distribution, staffing, and quality control.
  • Conduct job walks, quality checks, and prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
  • Act as the primary onsite customer contact.
  • Attend facility and construction meetings as required.
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and reporting.
  • Review job cost postings, accuracy in invoicing, material transfers, work orders, and change orders.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project documentation and job closeout packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Oversee tools, inventory, and truck maintenance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives in estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and warehousing.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards.
